Moisturizing Damaged Hair With Homemade Products
By Cole Carson
We always talk about how terribly our organs are taken care of, but did you ever stop to think that in all honesty, its probably hair that gets the very worse deal? It gets the moisture sucked out of it every day from a blow dryer, scorched by the curling iron, tangles yanked though it
I have NO idea why the contributors are so off the mark. If the supplier of the homemade goods if a friend, I would imagine she wouldn’t mind labelling her products w/an ingredient list if you asked, to assure no one is allergic. I am sure she would understand you have to minimize your liabilities.
If the packaging is attractive, homemade stuff could definitelty add to the charm of your place, especially if you sell it in your gift shop, and you have exclusive scents people can’t get at bath & body works. So… yes, cheaper, and maybe you & your friend can put your own personal flair in.
Good luck!
It depends on what it is and what the materials cost you.
Factor in your time and come up with a number. If it doesn’t sell at that price, you can always lower it. If they start selling well, raise prices just a little.
What are the benefits of a hotel business buying homemade body products vs commercial body products?
I own a small bed and breakfast and a friend has offered to supply me with homemade body products, such as body/hand soaps, and lotions. Yes the cost is cheaper. How will her homemade products benefit my business and my patrons?
How much should I charge for homemade products?
I wish to start selling my homemade products, but I’m not exactly sure how much to charge a customer. I don’t want to charge an arm and a leg. I want to be fair with the price I charge to make these homemade products. If anyone out there already sells their products, would be nice enough to give me some advice. Thank you.
Yes, it is. You can start small and then invest the profits back into the business.
But please note that soap etc are different than selling/using jewelry. If people are allergic to some chemicals in the soap you could be sued for the same. So think it over… or do some more research on the same.
If you are not selling in the US you should be fine (i guess)
But if your products are organic and green then you might be a hit.
all the best
to get in to a craft show you call the venue and reserve a booth
to market home made goods try posting on craigslist for your area and the surrounding area
put ads in local papers
post fliers at flea markets, grocery stores and pharmacies

How to market ur “homemade” products?
In addition to my previous ? Does anyone have any ideas on how to market homemade products? Or how to get into craft shows?
Do you think $200 is enough money to start a homemade bath products business?
I already make jewelry that I sell on ebay and myspace but Im looking at expanding to some homemade bath products, mainly bath bombs. Has anyone gotten into this business?? I work craft fairs’/ farmer’s markets and see a demand with no product. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks!
Never thought about the being sued thing, but yeah everything would be organic, plus Id have a list of the ingredients and warnings and all that jazz. I’ve been looking at coastalscents for products, does anyone have experience with them?
