How to Look Your Best With Great Natural Beauty Treatments

Author: IgorBajsic

The beauty treatments market in the United States alone pays out over billion annually. A great part of those billion in sales unfortunately lies with products that don’t do anything remotely good or healthy for you and your skin. Just pause for a moment and think of all the money and time you would spend, or should I say, you would save, if you started using natural treatments that are already on the shelves today.

Not only are you contributing to the evermore popular animal testing redundance, you are also eliminating the risk of applying hazardous chemicals to your body. This article will show you only a couple of simple yet powerful natural beauty treatments, which are inexpensive and highly effective. Let’s get cracking.

Whether you know it or not there is enough food that is an ingredient in all of the organic natural beauty treatments available on the market today. This fruit is the banana. Besides having a lot of potassium, vitamins and minerals, it also makes for a astonishing moisture generator for your skin as well as hair. To use the banana properly you should smash it first, followed by a gentle rub on the exploited area on the face or scalp. Some professional skincare specialists also concur with each other that it is good to add some oatmeal to the mixture in order to give this skin that extra shine.

We are sticking to tropicals, so we are indulging in avocados next. These are extremely healthy fruits which contain a large amount of oils, especially essential oils, which we all know play a large role in moisturizing the skin. Unlike the banana you do not have to smash the avocado, but only peel it and rub the skin on your face and neck. In the case of the puffy eyes one should use a sliced avocado and place it underneath the eyes for up to nine minutes. This will disperse of the swelling.

Last but not least; good old olive oil. This is an all-time classic. This is one of the best hand moisturizers you can get. Most users use cotton gloves to enhance the procedure during sleep. So right before you go to sleep, you soak your hands in olive oil, rub it into the skin and put on the white cotton gloves. These are not usually white, but in most cases they are. Besides the hands it is also used to moisturize the lips and nails. Some hair professionals claim it’s also healed split ends. Another great easy trick is just to pour some drops of olive oil in your bathtub while taking a bath in order to moisturize the skin of the entire body. Although the smell of olive oil is not extremely pleasant, we recommend you mix it alongside with some essential oil.

Here are my favorite homemade hair and skin treatments.

    Hair Conditioner

Lola B. (above) mentioned coconut oil. I use virgin coconut oil on my hair whenever it feels dry or damaged, and it works better than any professional product I’ve ever tried. If the coconut oil is solid, warm it up in the palms of your hands. Spread it through your hair, leave it on for at least 10 minutes, shampoo, and continue with your usual routine.

    SCRUBS

Scrubs are good for deep cleaning and exfoliating. I like these:

    Sugar Scrub

    Combine:

    1 cup olive oil
    ½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons cream or whole milk
    5 drops orange oil

Makes enough sugar scrub for the entire body.
Leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off.
The glycolic acid in sugar–and the rough texture–makes it ideal for exfoliating and giving the skin a healthy glow.

    Coffee Scrub

3 tablespoons coffee grounds (Organic and caffeinated coffee is best.)
    1 tablespoon salt

Brew a pot of coffee. Combine 3 tablespoons of the grounds with the salt in a small bowl. (Make this scrub within 20 minutes of brewing the coffee to avoid oxidation.)

While in the shower, work this treatment over the entire body.
Caffeine is often used to combat cellulite.

    Corn Meal Cleansing Scrub

    ½ cup corn meal
½ cup finely grated facial soap

Mix the ingredients together, and store in a closed container until ready to apply. To use, put about 2 tablespoons of the dry scrub in the palm of your hand, add just enough water to make a paste, and smooth onto your face. Massage lightly in small circles. Rinse off with water. Follow with a toner or astringent, if desired.

This scrub is recommended for oily skin with large pores.

    MASKS

Masks are nourishing and can help with many issues. Here is one I use:

    Easy Kitchen Cream

    2 tablespoons fresh dairy cream
    1 teaspoon honey

Stir ingredients together well. Put the mask on your face, allow it to dry, and then gently wash off.

Use this preparation for softening the skin and reducing fine lines.

    ACNE / BLEMISH HELP

When an occasional blemish shows up, I like to use these spot treatments:

    Aspirin Paste

    3 aspirin tablets (uncoated)
enough water or aloe vera juice or honey to produce a paste

Put the aspirins into a small bowl. With a pestle (if you have one) or the back of a spoon, grind the aspirin tablets into as fine a powder as possible. Then add the liquid, a drop at a time, until you have a mixture with a paste-like consistency. Use this as a spot treatment for blackheads, pimples, and other acne blemishes. It can be left on for at least 15 minutes or overnight, if desired.

You can make a larger quantity and use it as an overall facial mask on clean skin. Avoid the eyes and mouth. When using aspirin as a mask, wash it off after 15 minutes.

Aspirin paste has an excellent reputation for its effectiveness. Like many other topical treatments, results are most noticeable when the product is used on a regular basis. Apply the treatment at least 3 times a week in addition to your usual skin care routine.

    Baking Soda Paste

    2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon water or aloe vera juice

Add the baking soda to the liquid in a small bowl. Stir to a paste-like consistency. Apply enough to a blemish to cover it well. Allow the paste to remain on the skin for at least 30 minutes. Wash off with cool water.

A baking soda paste gives soothing relief to red, inflamed areas, and it is a traditional remedy for bee stings. Many acne sufferers have used this paste for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties.

I like homemade recipes because they’re inexpensive and you have total control over the ingredients that go into them. You can find dozens more natural and/or homemade recipes on http://www.oldenbuzz.com/beauty-cosmetics-skin-recipes.html . Have fun!

What are your favourite homemade beauty treatments?
I’m really interested in the whole ‘all-natural’ homemade skin/hair care recipes, what are some good ones? eg. cleansers, moisturisers (face and body), face masks, toners, shampoos, conditioners, dc, hair masks, etc.

    Thanks in advance!

I read this book I got online. It deals with winkle reduction and skin rejuvenation. It gives you tips on how to keep your skin in better health and beauty. I think this would help with the dark circles under your eyes. I use to get real bad dark circles under my eyes and when I read this book it helped me to realize I was not taking care of my skin. I did not think it was going to help, but it actually did. Take a look at the website and tell me what you think.

well just make sure you wash your face every night when you are there. Nothing weird about that. I mean seriously, youre out in the dirt and, im assuming, a lake, and you definitely want to keep the bacteria off of your face. Also, keep a smile on your face. I have this really pretty friend, but whenever somebody makes her mad, she looks really ugly. people who are happy naturally look good.
